We are excited to invite you to an in-person training session on electric territorial law in North Carolina. This comprehensive seminar, led by Mr. Jep Rose, Esq. Attorney at law with Poyner Spruill, will provide your public power community staff with a thorough understanding of the basics of electric territorial law. 
     

Course Highlights:
        ○ Overview of different types of utility providers
        ○ Historical background of electric utilities in North Carolina
        ○ Rights to serve within city limits
        ○ Rights to serve outside of city limits
        ○ Examination of less common cases
        

Who Should Attend: This seminar is exclusively open to power agency members from NCEMPA and NCMPA1. It is designed to equip your staff with the knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of electric territorial law, which can open up new opportunities for load growth and private sector investment.
